Send The Train Through

The track's ok, it's here to stay, get on board if your going our way, hey, hey
Porter yells all aboard, wheels rumble engines roar we're on our way
Engineer he got lots to do, pull his train of people through another day
Taking my seat, I gaze upon the scenery, mountains of crime, valleys filled with misery
I wont shut my eyes, I'll forge these rails of love to carry me through
Send the train through, send the train through, send the train through
The track's ok, it's here to stay, get on board if your going our way, hey, hey
Need no visa boarding pass, we all ride the human class, we all belong
Stoke the passion and the coals, the fire of love makes us whole, makes us strong
Let the power of love, not the love of power, shown by the son, made by our father
I wont shut my eyes, I'll forge these rails of love to carry me through
Send the train through, send the train through, send the train through
The track's ok, it's here to stay, get on board if your going our way, hey, hey

Shine On

Don't wait for me, I maybe slow but at last I'm free, I'll be along, new shoes there on my feet, and I feel complete
Is that you, I never really saw the child in you, not till now, did I ever see what's true, and I see it in you
Shine on, shine on, shine on, see it all through a new pair of glasses, oh yeah
What once was grey, don't look like that today, flood my eyes, with tears that run with joy, like receiving a brand new toy
What did you do, I never really saw the spirit in you, not till now, did I ever see what's true, and I see it in you
Shine on, shine on, shine on, see it all through a new pair of glasses, oh yeah
Show some more, hanging on the eve of what's in store, can't get enough of the food I used to waste. you've given me a taste
What did you do, I never really saw the changes in you, not till now did I ever see what's true, and I see it in you
Shine on, shine on, shine on, see it all through a new pair of glasses, oh yeah.

You'd Better Leave

You stand there on my shoulder, whispering in my ear, saying
I'll make you feel real good now, just have one beer
Last time you said you'd cool me down, I end up burning to the ground
You say you will redeem me, what's gonna change next time around, next time around.....
Your perched there on my shoulder, yapping in my ear
You think you've got my attention, there's no more business here
You said you'd get me high, you were there just to watch me die
Little man with your devil's dust, I won't be fooled no more by your lies, no more lies.....
I sense you on my shoulder, I barely hear your voice
Your calls have little strength now, I've made a better choice
I've seen the dazzle up your sleeve, your only truth is to deceive
I got so sick of you, I heard a greater voice, you'd better leave, you'd better leave.....

Waiting For Someone

People say things they don't mean, I've said things and not come clean
tonight remains to be seen, I'm waiting for someone
Someone to talk to, some to share, someone in silence if just to be there
A simple encounter, but it's to much to bear, waiting for someone
I'm waiting for someone, for someone who once really needed someone
I'm waiting for her alone, for the love we had known
Should I call her, should I impose, I'll wait a bit longer, see if she shows
I'm looking for answers that nobody knows, waiting for someone
I'm waiting for someone, for someone who once really wanted someone
I'm waiting for her alone, for the love we had known
My eyelids are heavy, the darkness has come, soon to morning, work to be done
I'll wait a bit longer let the candlewax run, waiting for someone
I'm waiting for someone, for someone who once really needed someone
I'm waiting for her alone, for the love we had known
I'm waiting for someone, for someone who once really needed someone
She once really needed someone, that someone was me

Warmth In December

The candles are lit, the table is set, he awaits the arrival of his guests, there's a gentle knock on the door
With welcoming hugs, he takes all their coats, and ushers them across the living room floor
Up on the mantle, she places a gift, he reaches down gives the kids a lift, and offers them games to play
He reads them some rhymes, she says to say thanks, they proceed to talk of their day
It's an awesome thing, they're not tethered to each other, she is a sister and he is a brother
In the seasons of time, separate moments to remember, this is a time they share warmth in December
They sit down to eat, children say grace, food's passed around youngest one makes a face
They finish and move to the living room, decide what to watch, settle into the couch, on this cold winter day
Love is fully in bloom, seasons ago his life was on loan, she had her own loss gained back her own home
Respect and esteem for each other, they give what they need, cause she is a sister and he is a brother
It's an awesome thing, they're not tethered to each other she is a sister and he is a brother
In the seasons of time, separate moments to remember, this is a time they share warmth in December
Movie is done children asleep, carry them out buckle them into their seats, give hugs and thanks to each other
He says phone when your home, cause she is a sister and he is a brother
It's an awesome thing, they're not tethered to each other, she is a sister and he is a brother
In the seasons of time, separate moments to remember, this is a time they share warmth in December
Warmth in December......

I'll Break This Tie

I'm hooked on a line straight to you, play me in play me out that's all you do
Well it's time this here fool got wise, set sails on my life and breeze on by
Don't no no don't play with my emotions, right now I'm not that strong, I just keep hanging on
Don't no no don't toy with my condition, up and down this coaster ride, let me off I'll break this tie
I'm caught between your fire and your flame, when I touch you I get burned again
Well it's time this here fool got wise, set sails on my life and breeze on by
Don't no no don't play with my emotions, right now I'm not that strong, I just keep hanging on
Don't no no don't toy with my condition, up and down this coaster ride, let me off I'll break this tie

It's In Our Hands

When your down by the water, guard your memory say a prayer
There's a change in the water, hear the wind whisper beware
Yes there's garbage in the water, some hidden some won't hide
No the water can not keep it, spits it back with raging tides
Mother nature she contemplates her retirement plans
Yes the signs are there, if we choose to heed, well it's in our hands
At the edge of the forest, guard your memory say a prayer
There's a change in the forest, hear the wind whisper beware
Towering monuments of life, quickly disappear with time
Their plight is always in the papers, just have to read between the lines
Mother nature she contemplates her retirement plans
Yes the signs are there, if we choose to heed, well it's in our hands
We'll have it all now then have nothing later, forget the stairs take the elevator
Point our fingers and say there's the instigator, right beside the smoke'n incinerator
I woke up hot and dry, sun fell through a sky full of holes
I felt lost and deserted, not a creature not a soul
Magnifying glass above me, searched a place to lose this curse
There were no trees to shade me, no water to quench my thirst
Mother nature she contemplates her retirement plans
Yes the signs are there, if we choose to heed, well it's in our hands

He's Into Fiction (She's Into Non)

They live in a comfortable home, they each own a Lexus, an Apple smart phone
Don't talk much to each other, don't feel the need, a passion in common they both like to read
He's into fiction she's into non, she wants the facts yeah, not much beyond
His boundaries are endless he lets himself go, he's into fiction while she's into non
It's late in the evening she's all by herself, another long night she takes a book from the shelf
As she settles back in gets a call on the phone, hears another storyline again she's left on her own
He's into fiction she's into non, she wants the facts yeah, not much beyond
His boundaries are endless he lets himself go, he's into fiction while she's into non
The sun rises, then sets, the sun rises again x3
It's late in the evening he's all by himself, another long night he takes a book from the shelf
He reads a novel bout a woman in love that gets burned, while night after night the man waits her return
He's into fiction she's into non, she wants the facts yeah, not much beyond
His boundaries are endless he lets himself go, he's into fiction while she's into non
The sun rises, then sets, the sun rises again...........

Junk Mail

It's been a long hard day, my love she's far away, can't wait to get back home, back home to what I know
It's been a long, long wait, to find her letter at my gate, I open my mailbox reach inside
grab a handful of unaddressed advertised junk mail, junk mail, junk mail, advertise the world for sale, junk mail
Well it sure is news to me, buy one get another for free, they beg you to come around, pick what you want lay your money down
I could really lose a lot, lose what I haven't got, some fine tree was cut to the ground
So I can read steak is four bucks a pound, junk mail, junk mail, junk mail, advertise the world for sale, junk mail
The deliverance of tree debris, great handfuls for you and me, lets pass around some more, there's a bargain I yearn for
It's been a long, long wait, to find her letter at my gate, I open my mailbox reach inside
grab a handful of unaddressed advertised junk mail, junk mail, junk mail, advertise the world for sale, junk mail

He's On The Outside

The sky train hums along, weaving past buildings and patches of green, Vancouver's waiting for the sun to be seen
Susan works downtown, stadium station is where she gets off, she walks to her building her office on top
She's on the inside, stays on the dry side
David eyes to the ground, crouched in a doorway he tries to stay dry, his hand outstretched to the blind passersby
David now has enough, for a coffee and a break from the rain, won't be to long till he's outdoors again
He's on the outside, he tries to stay dry
Susan goes out for a break, looking around for some place to eat, she stops in her tracks at the sight near her feet
He looked familiar to her, a weathered old framework of someone she knew, she looked puzzled not sure what to do
He's on the outside, he tries to stay dry
David now has enough, sits in a pub cradles a pint, this is his moment this is his life
Susan returns to her work, sadly remembers as she opens the door, David she worked with a long time before
He's on the outside, he tries to stay dry

The Pain Is Real

Sarah sits by the window of her little room, stares out sees much more than the stars and moon
Talks out words no one would listen to, Sarah's pain is real
Her room is safe, the terror shows on her face, Sarah's pain is real
Cancer stakes it's claim on Uncle Bill, we all know that he's very ill
All can see, his fate is not his will, Bill's pain is real
Sarah's friends don't know why she caused a fuss, her family says she should get on like the rest of us
Sarah's cries her hopes they fade to dust, Sarah's pain is real
She needs a wheelchair for her mind, she suffers all time, Sarah's pain is real, Sarah's pain is real
Sarah sits by the window of her little room

Time To Forgive

I unpacked my bags of hurt and shame, a pile of withered dreams and I'm to blame
Another failure another fall once again I hit the wall, It's time to forgive It's time to live
We tell a different tale from where we came, stories all reveal we're much the same
Tried and cried with the same results, assured of love without a fault, it's time to forgive, it's time to live
I humbly pack my bags with hope and faith, open up the door to truth and grace
My broken heart is on the mend, the healing hearts of many friends
It's time to forgive, it's time to live, time to forgive, it's time to live
